Some notes are accompanied by transcriptions of some press reviews of these exhibitions. Entries from the Royal Hibernian Academy cover the years 1832-1851 and include various portraits, "The Blind Girl at the Holy Well," and "A Connaught Toilette." Entries for the Water Colour Society cover the years 1855-1871 including "Peasantry of Upper Franconia waiting for Confession," "Faust's first sight of Margaret," "Hellelil and Hildebrand (Meeting on the Turret Stairs)" (including the Norse ballad which inspired the painting) and other works. Works exhibited at the Dudley Gallery for the years 1872-1874 include mostly portraits and "La Romanina." The end of this accumulation includes a list of paintings desired to be located by Henry B. Burton and Walter Armstrong, Director of the National Gallery of Ireland.
