Manuscript letter of receipt on paper bearing the letterhead of the National Gallery of Ireland written by Armstrong "on behalf of the Governors and Guardians of the National Gallery, Ireland" for the painting "Scourging of Christ" attributed to Luca Signorelli, bequeathed to the Gallery by Sir Frederic William Burton and received from Henry B. Burton, Executor of the will of Sir Frederic.
