Handwritten letter from Aloysius O'Kelly to James Herbert, accompanied by an envelope. O’Kelly thanks Herbert for a cheque worth $250 sent on 26 August. His finances are good (20,000 francs) thanks to Herbert’s generosity. O'Kelly responds to Herbert's enquiry regarding the winter climate in Concarneau and encourages Herbert to visit. Relates that he has met an old American friend who is visiting from Algiers. He has transferred his bank account in Concarneau to the ‘Comptoir National d’Escompte de Paris’.
