Description
Handwritten letter from Aloysius O'Kelly to James Herbert, also including an envelope. O’Kelly writes that he plans to move to Dublin to sell his pictures. He is currently working on a reproduction of the Rock of Cashel which has been commissioned by the Dean of Cashel. Describes again his disappointment that the Archbishop of Cashel did not purchase any paintings. O’Kelly has been writing to people in Dublin who he hopes will be of service to him. He has also written to his cousin James Lawlor as he and his wife write for the Irish Times newspaper. Lawlor replied with news that one of his brothers recently died in Rotterdam. James Lawlor's mother Mrs. Lawlor, O'Kelly's niece Bernadette O’Kelly, referred to as Bunny in the letter, and one of James Lawlor's brothers travelled to Rotterdam for the funeral.
