Description
Handwritten letter from Aloysius O'Kelly to James Herbert, accompanied by an envelope. O’Kelly relates that he is leaving Concarneau for New York on 13 June as he is tired of the region. He intends to bring paintings with him to New York – mostly of Irish subjects – which he hopes to sell. Mentions that his health has been poor for some time, and he hopes to get into a residential home in New York; he has written to the Pringle memorial home in Poughkeepsie. He asks Herbert to meet him at the port in New York.
