Description
Handwritten letter on headed paper, addressed from the Grand Hotel de Dieppe, Paris, in which Orpen relates news of his visit to the Louvre and the Luxembourg Museums. He also outlines his plan to travel with [Hugh] Lane from Paris to Madrid. He makes reference to meeting Albert R. who was on his way back to Cany, France. He concludes by asking Grace to get 'Jack' to 'send around the Goya from the School - I am responsible for it and it is not safe there.' Letter includes a pen sketch of Orpen posting his letter outside the Hotel de Dieppe.
