Transcribed letter from Bernard Mulrenin to Mary Mulrenin regarding news of shared acquaintances, and an Englishman looking to establish himself in Dublin
Description
Transcribed typescript copy of a letter from Bernard Mulrenin at 29 Dame Street, Dublin to his wife Mary at 39 Prince's Street, Cork. Mulrenin explains his discontent over Mr. M. O'Connell's neglect in failing to deliver his recent letters. He also discusses news of shared acquaintances, their health and wellbeing, and alludes to his ongoing work, as well as details of a recent coach accident in which "two of the horses were killed under us and the third maimed" whilst travelling near Liverpool, England. He writes too that 'there is some English fellow has come here [Dublin] whilst I was away and got some of his pictures etc. left at Milliken's ... trying to establish himself here so I must work hard now to pull up my lost time.'
