Transcribed letter from Bernard Mulrenin to Mary Mulrenin regarding his arrival in London
Description
Transcribed typescript copy of a letter from Bernard Mulrenin at Peele's Coffee House, Fleet Street, London addressed to his wife Mary at Mr. Boland's, 39 Prince's Street, Cork. Mulrenin finds London dreadful. He has been to see Mathews with Mr. Wood and his brother, as well as some Dublin artists, and has also attended the Somerset House exhibition. He asks Mary for news and wishes he "could fly to Cork to make you all laugh and tell you about the London modes of living."
