Transcribed letter from Bernard Mulrenin to Mary Mulrenin regarding his work in London
Description
Transcribed typescript copy of a letter from Bernard Mulrenin at Peele's Coffee House, London to his wife Mary at 40 Sackville Street, Dublin. Mulrenin describes his anxiety over Mary's health, as well as some of the exhibitions he has seen, including one at Somerset House. He notes that he has also been to see [Sir Martin Archer Shee], Mr. Robertson, Mr. Jackson's collection, and Mr. Lane at Somerset House. He goes on to state that the Royal funeral is to take place the following Thursday, and responds to Mary's concerns that he does not have appropriate mourning attire. Mulrenin concludes by commenting on the difference between English and Irish clothing fashions.
