Description
A short handwritten letter in which Orpen writes of arriving at his destination the day before, and having had a productive day working. He mentions being taken by 'Raphé and Dorothy' to see the horses and writes that 'my fear of the brutes seems to give them intense pleasure.' He includes a large pen and wash sketch of the artist being taken aback by a horse leaning out of his stable half-door. A man and woman stand off to the side.
