Description
Handwritten letter in which Orpen relates news of the party and who was present, writing that 'all 'were trying to be clever and witty but in reality it was a most dull affair with very little spirit, but Russell's pictures are really very good.' Attendees included Hugh Lane, Miss Christian, [Yeats], the Russells and the Markieviczs. Letter concludes with a pencil sketch of Orpen being driven in a cab, having just run over six pedestrians.
