Illustrated letter from William Orpen to Grace Orpen concerning his work on the 'Lawson' portrait, his return to London, and the International Dance

Description
Handwritten letter in which Orpen notes his desire to have another sitting with 'Lawson' in order to finish 'the overcoat and hand before I leave.' He also updates Grace on his travel plans for returning to London. He concludes by asking whether she intends to go to the 'International Dance'; he himself will not attend, although he suspects Nicholson and [Petticoat] will. He includes two pen sketches, one of a man wearing a heavy overcoat and hat standing outside a thatched cabin, and the other of 'Tilly' wearing 'the most wonderful horsy costume.'
