Handwritten letter on headed paper from Oriel, Blackrock, County Dublin, in which Orpen writes of difficulties at the Metropolitan School of Art; preparing his mother to be painted 'in her bonnet'; and receiving a piece of canvas from 'Osborne.' Accompanied by an envelope addressed to Lady Orpen in Margate and postmarked as 4 August [1907]
