Description
Handwritten letter in which Orpen relates his satisfaction with progress on O'Brien's portrait, and Russell's, but notes concern for McDonnell's. He also mentions Mrs. Teeling, noting that her portrait will need work. He writes that Dublin seems very quiet and dull without Petti [Petticoat?] and George [Moore?]. Letter includes a pen sketch of Orpen standing by a portrait of a woman, whilst this same woman poses in front of his easel. Reverse features a pencil sketch of an unidentified man leaning on a bar, with a glass before him.
