Description
Handwritten letter on headed paper, addressed from the Royal Mail Steamer 'Leinster', in which Orpen describes how he made it to the boat by cab, and his subsequent sea crossing. He also asks Grace to send him his cheque book. Letter includes a a pen sketch of Orpen standing on a ship's deck, in a hat and overcoat, smoking a pipe
