Description
Handwritten letter on headed paper, addressed from Eastwell Park, Ashford, Kent, in which Orpen describes disturbing pheasants, rabbits, and partridges on his outing. He also references [Stephen George] and their Saturday appointment. Letter concludes with a pen sketch of Orpen meeting some local animals, captioned as 'Ger the Swede.' Letter is accompanied by an envelope addressed from Eastwell Park, and marked for the attention of Mrs. William Orpen, 13 Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, London SW. and postmarked as 18 June 1903.
