Description
Handwritten letter in which Orpen mentions a lunch with Colonel Kish [sic], and the latter's amusement when conversation turns to the state of Europe and Ireland. Orpen relates that he has caught the flu, and also praises Philip Gibbs's book [Now it Can be Told?] which 'is very good... I take my hat off to him - He's done what I tried to - but failed...'
