Description
Handwritten letter in which Orpen writes to Grace that he is working very hard, and has become sunburnt owing to the hot weather. He also comments on the terrible dust he has encountered in the air, writing that it 'gets in right through my clothes.' He asks after Grace and the children, and hopes the children are 'working hard at their holiday tasks.' Letter is accompanied by an envelope addressed to Mrs William Orpen at the Corner House, Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, London and is postmarked 10 April 1917
