Download: view IIIF manifest
Description
Handwritten letter, addressed from Lansdowne House, Lansdowne Road, Holland Park, London W, United Kingdom, in which Ricketts appears to tease Grace, writing that 'I ascribe your shameful act to the influence of Art upon life, had your husband never painted the subject, nothing so wicked would have suggested itself to your mind. Next time you promise to take tea with us, you must fall asleep in a Victorian armchair in our studio! Shannon [Charles Haslewood Shannon (1863-1937)?] joins with me in kindest remembrances. Sincerely yours, C. Ricketts.'
