Description
Handwritten letter on headed paper, addressed from Lansdowne House, Lansdowne Road, Holland Park, London, in which James Pryde informs Grace Orpen that Mabel Nicholson passed away at 12.45 that morning. [Mabel Nicholson was an artist, and wife of the British artist William Nicholson. The Orpens were good friends, with William Orpen depicting the Nicholsons in his painting,'A Bloomsbury Family.']
