Sir Frederic William Burton Collection (1816-1900)

Collection contains four smaller individual collections acquired through purchase and donation. These include the Sheila Beere Gift (1987), the Bindon Burton Purchase (1987), the John Burton Gift (2013), and the Powell Purchase (2019). These collections comprise photographs, correspondence, ephemera, notes, diaries, watercolours, drawings, and secondary material pertaining to the artist Frederic William Burton.
