Description
A Christmas card and bookplate illustrated with three figures in fanciful costume, in front of a grand Georgian mansion. The printed illustrations are signed 'Harry Clarke, 1923'. The Christmas card lists the address '73 Ailesbury road, Dublin.' The bookplate is inscribed ‘R.M. Butler’s book’. RM Butler may refer to Rudolph Maximilian Butler (1872 - 1943) who was a well-known Irish Roman Catholic ecclesiastical architectural historian, academic, journalist, and architect of Dublin.
