Description
Handwritten letter addressed from Villa Marguerite, Cassis, Bouches du Rhone, in which O'Conor writes that he must now keep Villa Marguerite until 1 January and ‘by that time will be ready to leave I think.’ He comments that Bell will have no trouble subletting Henri Manguin's villa, and advises that the best hotel is the Cendrillon. [Charles Camoin] was ‘well satisfied’ with it. ‘There seems to be very few painters here besides Manguin’. Marguet is passing through. ‘[Robert Delaunay] is the only new talent who seems to promise anything’. O’Conor has been ‘leading a very idle life here but am getting down to work now….I have a few books fortunately and by going to bed very early manage to get through.’
