Description
This series contains one bound notebook and two fragments of notebooks kept by Sir Frederic William Burton. Burton's Bound notebook contains notes and extracts in German relating to "Yajnavalkya's Gestzbuch" (Yajnavalkya's Law Book) by Dr. Adolph Friedrich Stenzler. Also included is a stray section from Burton's commonplace book (including sketches), and loose leaves from a notebook kept on various topics including art, science, classics, and criminality.
