Description
Typescript letter in which James White (Director, National Gallery of Ireland) writes that the Gallery Board must appraise all works offered for acquisition prior to any formal agreement being made on their acceptance. He also notes that examples of her work will always be displayed in the Gallery, in the Twentieth Century Portrait Gallery, except on the occasions when a temporary exhibition is being mounted. [Letter is addressed to F.N. Jameson, Mitchell's married name.]
