Description
Handwritten letter frome John Butler Yeats to Ruth Hart thanking her again for Charles Lamb's letters and biography, and by a 'special request' from Lily he will bring it to New York. Yeats writes that [Sir John Pentland] Mahaffy may be on the same steamer as him and Lily, and thinks, though he has felt a 'little afraid of him', he is sure to be good company. Yeats ends the letter by writing that if Lily were to leave him in New York he would be homseick but it will hopefully be 'gilded with dollars'.
