Description
Handwritten letter with envelope from John Butler Yeats to Ruth Hart regarding the frozen winter, Charles Fitzgerald and the New York people. Yeats promises not to spend another winter in New York and wishes Hart and her paretns a happy Christmas. Yeats also recounts that he had met Charles Fitzgerald and questioned him intensely, and was happy to hear of the 'most joyous revolution in Dublin'. Yeats also relfect on the 'natural helpfulness' of New York people as well as the lack of a class system.
