Description
Typescript letter from John Phillips to various galleries regarding the sale of six small paintings by Daniel O'Neill from June 1947 on translucent paper. Phillips wishes to keep the collection together and believes these works to be unique. Galleries include Ulster Museum Belfast, National Gallery of Ireland Dublin, Museum of Modern Art NYC, National Gallery of Art Washington DC, Tate Gallery London, Municipal Gallery of Modern Art Dublin and Walters Art Gallery Baltimore. Also included is a short discussion of O'Neill works and his paintings of the Donegal landscape. 5 copies in total.
