Material collected by Sarah Cecilia Harrison after the death of Hugh Lane
Description
Series contains letters, statements and additional material that Sarah Cecilia Harrison collected after the death of Hugh Lane in 1915 to support her case that Hugh Lane's will and codicil were fraudulent, and that the paintings he had sent to the National Gallery in London were rightfully owed to a Modern Gallery of Art in Dublin. Correspondents include Richard Caulfield Orpen, Alderman Thomas Kelly, Solicitors Bird & Bird and the Keeper of the National Gallery in London.
