Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 8th July 1977 in which the following was discussed: a vote of sympathy was passed for the family of the late board member, Mr C. Farrell. the Director reported that the Gallery was finally ready for work to begin to install the frescoes. Plans for finding a replacement Education Officer were discussed, as the current one is resigning this month. The board declined a loan to the Wexford Festival Opera due to the risk of damage. Permission for two receptions to be held in the Gallery was granted. The German Cultural Institute was given permission to hold concerts in the Gallery. An exhibition of Canadian paintings was authorised to be held in the Gallery. The Shaw Fund and the Lane Fund were discussed.The board gave their approval for a small Thomas Moore plaster cast to be caste in bronze. The Director's retirement in 1978 was discussed.
