Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 10th June 1977 in which the following was discussed: information regarding the installation of frescoes. The board was given a tour around Malahide Castle. Discussion was held in regards to the shortage of staff in the reference library. "The Fairy Queen" by George Nairn was approved for purchase [NGI 4200]. The following gifts were accepted; a portrait of Sean O'Faolain by Edward McGuire [NGI 4201] and three sketches by Richard Caulfield Orpen. Two sculptures were accepted on loan. A loan of two items to the Louvre was sanctioned. The board sanctioned a request for an exhibtion, a concert and a reception. The Shaw Fund and the Lane Fund were discussed.
