Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 1st December 1961 in which the following was discussed: Mr Mundow made a statement about the possible extension of the Gallery - 'in the present circumstances the proposed extension of the existing building into numbers 88 and 89 .. provided the most appropriate solution'. Discussion of increase of Registrars salary. It was decided to accept the portrait group by Harwood [NGI 1765] by an unnamed client of Guest, Lane, and Williams solicitors, Cork. A breakdown of the estimates of £21,637 for the year ending 31/03/1963 is noted. Further discussion on proposed legislation. The immediate provision of an alarm bell for every exhibition room in the Gallery was approved. Two new attendant roles were approved bringing the total to eight. Discussion on Lane Fund investments.
