Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 6th October 1961 in which the following was discussed: Sean O'Sullivan nominated judge in the Taylor Art Competition. The board sends a note to Major General Scott expressing regret that no loan can be made to the [Royal] Irish Fusilers Officers Mess in Germany. A committee was set up to report on the question of a Gallery extension. It was unanimously agreed that Mr McGreevy should continue as Director for the coming year. Discussion on staffing issues including further consideration of the role of night watchman. A report was read by Mr A A Madden, the Fire Officer of the OPW, it was requested to keep this confidential. Further brief discussion of Shaw and Lane Funds. The new Registrar's service was reported as being 'most satisfactory' for his first six months.
