Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 7th July 1967 in which the following was discussed: the board agreed to purchase a book of engravings by Fisher, from the Director. The board sanctioned three loan requests, two to the USA and one to Belfast. The board approved of the purchase of the following; a seventeenth century Seville woodcarving, a bust of Cardinal Guido Bentivoglio [NGI 8030], three Italian chairs, and four items of furniture offered by Lord Galway. Discussion was held in connection with the opening of the new Gallery wing. Comments were made on bringing Italian restorers to visit the Gallery. Discussion was heard regarding the Shaw Fund and the Lane Fund, and the sale of postcard reproductions.
