Minutes of board meeting held on 6th July 1960 in which the following was discussed: it was decided a letter should be sent to the National Portrait Gallery of London requesting the continued loan of four pictures. It was agreed to lend "Portrait of a Man" by Velazquez to the Spanish Ministry of Education. Discussion on the appointment of the new assistant and agreement to advertise the position as soon as possible. Discussion on the appointment of a Registrar. Lord Longford appointed judge in the Taylor Art Competition. Further discussion on the Shaw Fund. Authority was given to Messrs Help, Printer to 'go ahead with the printing of reproductions of the board's paintings' for commercial sale on similar conditions to the Victoria and Albert Museum and Tate Gallery'.
