Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 1st July 1959 in which the following was discussed: it was decided to accept "The Death of Adonis" by James Barry [NGI 1393] from RAR Field, London. It was decided to turn down the picture "Young Girl Plucking a Duck" by Barent Fibritius [Bernard Pietersz Fabritius] for £17,000. Further discussion on the Shaw Fund. Further discussion on Finance Sub-committee.
