Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 3rd June 1966 in which the following was discussed: the board resolved that they would have no objection to the creation of a plaster cast of the bust of W.B. Yeats currently in their possession. Mr De Vere White was appointed judge of the Taylor Art Competition 1967. The board agreed to obtain five sound guides for the Gallery. A list of gifts which were accepted by the Gallery. The board approved of six purchases, and granted five loans. A discussion was held regarding the Shaw Fund. The credit of the Lane Fund was read. The board decided that they should use money from the Shaw Fund to pay for an x-ray machine, as the Government could not provide the funding at this time. The board was updated on the progress of the new wing. The Director was authorised to bid for 18 drawings at an upcoming auction.
