Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 10th April 1964 in which the following was discussed: the Hon. James A. Murnaghan and Senator McGuire were reappointed and Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor respectively. The procedure for photographing pictures from the Gallery's collection was discussed. Two additional attendants had been appointed to the Gallery. The appointment of a clerk-typist was discussed further. Mr Gerald Y. Goldberg was appointed to the board. Purchase offers were deferred until the appointment of a new Director. Mr James Banbury would continue as the official photographer of The National Gallery. The Shaw Fund and the Lane Fund were discussed. Mr De Vere White was renominated as judge of the National Art Competition. Mr James White was elected as Director of The National Gallery of Ireland.
