Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 5th July 1963 in which the following was discussed: The Director reported on paintings he had seen in Paris and London. The board received a letter from the Special Detective Unit informing them that they would be unable to provide Garda assistance in the Gallery on the day of President Kennedy's visit to Dail Eireann, and proposed the Gallery to be closed that day instead. More information was received from the Department of Education in regards to the post of Director. The credit of the Shaw Fund and the Lane Fund was noted.
