Minutes of board meeting held on 11th February 1959 in which the following was discussed: this was a special meeting to consider the purchase of six pictures. The following were purchased - "The Artist's Studio: Lady Hazel Lavery with her Daughter Alice and Stepdaughter Eileen" by John Lavery for £250 [NGI 1644] and "The Birth of Cupid" attributed to Giuseppe Amigoni ["The Birth of Adonis" by Jacopo Amigoni NGI 1688] - written in a different hand in the margin is 'this should be Jacopo'.
