Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 1st June 1955 in which the following was discussed: The Minister for Education was present. Discussion on the loan of pictures to Belfast. There followed a general discussion on the proposed extension of the Gallery. The Minister requested a simple ground plan of the Gallery. Discussion on attempts to 'regularise' the position of Director. EA McGuire and Henry Mangan appointed for a further five year to the board. Terance de Vere White appointed to the board [until 1994] to take the place of the late Evie Hone. Father Senan resigned from the board due to ill health [1946 to 1955].
