Minutes of board meeting held on 2nd July 1952 in which the following was discussed: it was agreed to complete the loan of four pictures to the Winter Exhibition of the Royal Academy 1952 - 1953. The erection of stained glass windows was to remain under consideration. Discussion about glass roofing on the Milltown Rooms. It was agreed to purchase St Catherine by Guido Reni [NGI 70] and "The Begging Dog" by Teniers [NGI 11660?] for £80. The offer to purchase 'two sheets of drawings' by James Barry from Mrs EM Power for £35 was accepted. Resolution made to recommended to the Department of Education that the role of Director be made whole-time and the salary increased. Also, that the salary of Registrar be increased.
