Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 9th January 1935 in which the following was discussed: death of Lady Lavery reported. A letter was read expressing disappointment with the Department of Education and Finance that no progress had been made in appointing a new Director. Approved for purchase - "Portrait of E J Dillon" [NGI 976] and "Rehearsing the Play Scene from Shakespeare's Hamlet, at Sadlers Wells" [NGI 3778] both by Orpen.
