Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 14th December 1927 in which the following was discussed: an investment report was read and approved. The recently purchased "The Apotheosis of Jean Jacques Rousseau" was viewed [NGI 896]. "Beggar Outside a Cathedral" by van Hasselt was approved for purchase [NGI 897]. A bust of Mrs Prendergast was viewed by the board [NGI 8045]. A gift from Mrs Shaw of a portrait of George Bernard Shaw was accepted [NGI 899]. Byelaw 25 was amended. The purchase of a portrait of Field-Marshal Lord Roberts was declined. A gift of "The Parable of the Lord of the Vineyard" by Domenico Fetti was accepted [NGI 898]. The estimates for the year 1928-1929 were submitted. The Director reported on the credit in the Lane Fund.
