Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 27th April 1925 in which the following was discussed: the Department of External Affairs had applied to use the Gallery for a reception on 11th June, which was declined by the board due to byelaw number 34 and the risk posed to the Gallery in an event such as the one being suggested through theft and damage. Hugh Kennedy, Esq., [NGI board 1925 to 1936] and James Murnaghan, Esq, {NGI board 1925 to 1973]. were appointed as new members of the board. New import duties were discussed. The board were offered a portrait of John D'Alton, Historian of Dublin [NGI 2748].
