Description
Minutes of a board meeting held on 2nd April 1924 in which the following was discussed: Miss Purser and the Rt. Hon. Frederick Lawless were reappointed to the board. The board received a letter from Mrs Bridgford stating that she would have the Bridgford bequest sent to the Gallery. The board agreed that no change in investment should be made in regards to the Lane Capital Fund, and the auditors' report on the Lane Income Fund was read to the board. The board received a letter from a solictor for the Martyn estate, requesting the return of a piece of tapestry given to the Gallery as part of the Martyn bequest. The board agreed. It was decided that a few items from the Gallery be loaned to the National Museum. Information on the reproduction of Gallery pictures and copyright. The board received a gift of silver and a miniature, but instructed the Director to write to the donor and express that these items would be more suited to a museum. Mr Bodkin was appointed as judge in the Taylor Art Scholarship competition.
