Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 9th March 1910 in which the following was discussed: five purchases of pictures proposed and accepted. A landscape by William Duffy ["A Wicklow Common" - Patrick Vincent Duffy NGI 608?] for £50. A portrait of Gerald Griffin for £20. Two maps of Milan for £1.15.6. A portrait of Miss O'Neill by TC Thompson [NGI 604] for £11.11.0. A portrait of John Kemble by Sadler [NGI 2639] for £22.10.0. A picture, "Donnybrook Fair" by Erskine Nicol was considered too expensive at £550. A reduction of £100 was sought. The Director appointed judge in the Taylor Competition. The Director instructed to ascertain the price and steps required to get an illustrated catalogue of the collection. Discussion about Goldsmith's Jewellers making casts of the silver from the Milltown Collection.
