Description
Minutes of a board meeing held on 5th June 1918 in which the following was discussed: Mr Timothy Cole submitted his engraving of the portrait of President Wilson to the board. The loan of the Milltown Library was requested by Captain Turton but denied by the board. The net value of the Lane bequest was determined to be around £26,000. It was resolved that His Excellency, the Lord Lieutenant, should be requested to open the exhibition of the Lane pictures, and a selection of board members would be in charge of handling the arrangements. The Gallery declined two pictures left in the will of the late Miss Anster as they were not suitable for its collection. The board also declined two pictures left by the late board member J.M. Kavanagh [board member 1914 to 1918].
