Minutes of board meeting held on 15th July 1908 in which the following was discussed: a portrait of John O'Leary by John Butler Yeats [NGI 595] was offered as gift by the National Literary Society and gratefully accepted. A list of several paintings and engravings purchased - listed with prices. Mr Waldron asked if two pictures gifted by Gavin Duffy but not exhibited may be returned. Frederic Lawless was appointed to the board for five years [served on NGI board to 1914]. The Director presented his annual report. All purchases, donations, and bequests listed.
