Description
Minutes of board meeting held on 19th December 1906 in which the following was discussed: Lawrence Waldron appointed to board in place of the Reverend Molloy, deceased. Thornley Stoker and Longworth Dames were reappointed. An estimate of £3168 for the service of the Gallery was laid before the board. Purchase of "Holy Family" by Jacopo Palma [NGI 580] for £500 approved. A watercolour of "Sergeant Graham of the Coldstream Guards closing a gate against French Troops" [NGI 2611] was offered by Hopton Scott and accepted. The Director read to the board the response letter to Lady Milltown via Mr Lanphier contesting her version of events over seven numbered points. Mr Lanphier replies with more disagreement. The adversarial correspondence continues leading the board to resolve to seek the opinion of the Law Offices.
